![]() Haven't seen an active Arcani cohort in years. ![]() But like you said, all the OG players have moved on to other games. You'd think now with online gaming having a much greater presence, we'd see a lot more traffic. Either the multi wasn't active enough or they wanted to do away with the clans altogether. It's a little underwhelming to go back to for a series veteran when. That said, the multiplayer did always seem to take a backseat to the campaigns for CA and seemingly now Feral. Total War: Rome is still a stand-out strategy game, and this remaster makes it more fun to look at and easier to play. Every update/patch we'd publish our findings in what we called the "Cortex". We need a Multiplayer Campaign for Rome Total war remastered. All my former guys in Arcani were real scientific when it came to testing unit stats and pairings. I'm one of the original players myself and think fondly of the early 2000s where clans collaborated between forums. ![]() Bummed to have seen it taken away from us. The team dynamics made battles much more fun to play. It delivered some spectacular clan battles. The OG RTW multiplayer was a culture all in its own. Originally posted by _SPARTAN_COMMANDER_:Just to say not having a general chat lobby in the Rome Remastered version has almost killed the multiplayer side of the game ,the vast majority of the multiplayer's from the old RTW have either gone back to the old multiplayer or have moved on to other games ,i and others contacted Feral on several occasions about the importance of a lobby in the multiplayer ,they always reply we will contact you as soon as possible.lol but they never did !! ,i fear that if they don't introduce a lobby into the remastered the multiplayer will just die ,when i think back to the hundreds that were in the lobby of the old RTW at its peak, it is kind of sad looking at the remastered multiplayer. It has been done before on early 2000's machines. I mean you can see 6K players in multi lobby ? To be honest most of players in Total are playing solos. The Total War franchise encapsulates this difficulty by putting players in the shoes of great generals and statesmen and tasking them with leading their chosen country to greatness.
